“Sustainability means thinking about tomorrow, today.”
Sustainability encompasses many aspects. Whether environmental, economic, or social issues, the underlying principle is the same, i.e. to live in a way that enables future generations to have a life that is just as good as – or even better than – our own. As a family-run company, we take these principles extremely seriously.
That’s why they guide our decisions and our day-to-day activities. We are conscious of our responsibilities to our employees, as well as to the environment and society.
- RECYCLE – All our products contain a minimum of 15% recycled pre-consumer content.
- ENERGY EFFICIENCY – We use best-in-class machinery to ensure most efficient use of resources.
- ENERGY SAVING – We optimize our production planning work-flows to use energy sparingly.
FAQ
Can used Waveline products be sent back to Waveline for recycling?
Absolutely yes! However, for lowest environmental impact we suggest to dispose of products via the locally available disposal options, preferably via established collection for recycle. In most countries and communities, the collection for plastics and paper for recycling are well established. Thus, it is the simplest and best way to contribute to the recycling of those products.
Which types of protective packaging can be reused?
All Waveline protective packaging can be reused. Non-business customers, for example, can use it to return a product or to send other products. And trade and industry can re-use packaging material which is returned to them to dispatch products once again.
Is the manufacture of protective packaging made from plastic harmful to the environment?
No. Neither unpleasant odors, nor toxic vapors or effluents are created during the manufacture and processing of the PE films used for our air bubble wrap. Production of the PE films is chlorine- and sulfur-free, they do not contain any plasticizers or heavy metals, and they do not pollute groundwater.
How do I recycle bubble wrap products?
Bubble wrap products can be recycled at local store drop-off locations nationwide that accept thin PE plastic for packaging, wraps or commercial/retail bags. You can also return our brand products to our return location so long as the material is free of tape, labels or any foreign materials.
